  1. Yay, Hanauma Bay! I'm going to be doing some research out towards the mouth of the bay this summer.

I need new sunglasses. I've broken two pairs in the last year and my current pair is starting to lose some layers of plastic...maybe it would help if I invested in sunglasses that were worth more than $15.

    Fun new idea.

  2. Don't invest in expensive ones, you will just get angry that you spend 150 on a pair of glasses that the plastic is peeling off. :) OR you end up sitting on them in an attept to take care of them.

Is that the bay in the picture? Or a recomendation, either way ill make that my first choice, I dont want to be a tourist when I go places.

  3. Oh, so the expensive ones peel, too? Good to know :)

Yeah, the picture is of Hanauma Bay, on the southeast corner of O'ahu, I guess on the outskirts of Honolulu. It is a very popular tourist spot because it's got a reef right off the shore with lots of different fish, and sea turtles, too. Great for snorkeling. I posted a few pictures from Hanauma back in the fall:

If you do go to Hawaii, Hanauma is worth a visit, but make sure you go early in the morning before it gets too crowded!
